Talking Book Program

The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), Library of Congress, offers a free program for individuals of all ages who are blind, have a visual impairment that prevents them from reading regular print, have a physical disability that prevents them from holding or manipulating a print book, or have a reading disability.

The program provides free playback equipment plus books and magazines in audio format designed to play on the equipment.  Items are sent through the mail for free with free return postage.  Books in large print and materials in braille are also available to borrow for free.
