The Library welcomes members of the community to volunteer their time and talents to enrich and expand library services. We appreciate your time and commitment.

Friends of the Library

Basement Book Sales:

Sorting Donations:

  • Dates: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
  • Times: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Details: Volunteers must be reliable, consistent, and able to move and sort boxes with books and donated materials.
  • Location: Stephens Central Library

Computer and Technology Classes

Teach various computer and technology classes to adults in the computer lab at Stephens Central Library.

PALS: Home Delivery Service

Pickup pre-bagged books at the downtown library and deliver them to the patron's residence. Volunteers are required to have their own transportation.

 

This is a long-term opportunity. Volunteers are not required to have contact with patrons, just pickup items and deliver.

Volunteens!

Fun and active teen-programming steering committee is also an intro to the library and a gateway to broader library volunteer opportunities. Participation counts toward volunteer hours.

 

Advisory Group Info:

  • Ages: Grades 6 - 12 only
  • Dates: Begins Fall 2023
  • Start/End times: To be determined
  • Number of volunteers Needed: 8-12
